Why project backup is useful
A prepared e-detailing project contains imported pages, category organization and a tested presentation order. Rebuilding that structure after a device change takes time and can introduce mistakes. Export provides a portable backup of the project where supported by the app.
Restore can help bring that project back into Easy E-Detailing on a supported setup. It is useful for device replacement, recovery or an approved transfer workflow.
A safe export workflow
- Confirm the active project contains the current approved content.
- Open the export option and create the project backup.
- Use a clear file name with project and date information.
- Store the backup only in a location allowed by the organization.
- Do not treat an old backup as the current approved version automatically.
Backup files may contain company presentation material. Handle them with the same care as the active tablet project.
Restore and verify
Import the permitted backup through the app's restore flow, then verify the project rather than assuming the file is complete. Check the project name, categories, page count, sequence and several important pages against the source.
Open the presentation full-screen and test it offline. A successful import message does not by itself confirm that the recovered project is ready for a doctor call.
Version and security discipline
- Keep only the required current field backup accessible.
- Remove withdrawn projects through the approved process.
- Do not share backups through unapproved personal channels.
- Use device locks and approved storage locations.
- Repeat offline testing after every restore.
Prepare a project before export
A well-organized backup begins with a well-organized project. Review Category Management, use clear labels through Automatic Page Naming and verify imported files using the content import guide.
Contact Easy E-Detailing support before an important device migration if the production build or backup compatibility is uncertain.
